UPDATE: 23/03/2010

The new beta contains a few exciting updates!

1. Sentences can now be fine tuned perfectly in that there are no tiny gaps between words playing apart from the usual trail on the sound.
2. Filesystem is now .mp3 meaning much smaller filesize for the app itself.
3. Users can now post direct to their facebook, twitter and email accounts with their user created sentences.
4. Lots of new words and content, user requested and otherwise. As usual, any in app purchase packs will automatically show for you as you are BETA testing.

If you were lucky enough to get into the Pocket Announcer Beta then we need your input. The point of Beta Testing is so that we can get feedback on all aspects of the application be it the design, quality, bug reports, ideas or general usage.

In order for us to allow you into the Beta we will first need the UDID for your iPhone or iPod Touch which can be found by connecting your device to iTunes and selecting it from the left menu. Now in the right hand side window click Serial NUMBER.

You will see that it has now changed to Identifier (UDID)

CTRL + C on PC or CMD + C on Mac to copy the UDID to your clipboard and then Direct message me on Twitter with the UDID so i can verify you are indeed in the BETA.

I will then be able to add your lucky devices into the program and give you further details on the download location of the BETA application and details on how to install it.

Being a BETA tester doesn’t only give you free access to the application! You also get any IAP free of charge and you get it way before others.

In short, being a BETA tester is AWESOME.

UPDATE: Before downloading the BETA we have some information.

1. This is for personal use only and is not intended for broadcast or to be used for commercial gain in any commercial or business related activity unless for the sole purpose of promotion of the App itself.

2. You may post videos of the application to your blogs or youtube channels if the basis of the video is for promotion of the App itself.

3. Could any bugs be reported to myself through our contact page.

4. Same goes for ideas for the app.

5. You may NOT share this BETA with anybody else. Apart from the fact that it wont work anyway, illegal distribution is something we do not take lightly. The BETA is signed and different to our full version and therefore is monitored.

6. You may NOT connect to audio recording equipment in attempt to pull sounds from the application.

7. You may NOT attempt to download ANY sounds from the application unless they are the provided ringtones and alarm calls.

In short, you are free to use this within your shows etc but not as a promotion tool for any commercial or business related venture. For instance you may use the application to create prank calls live on radio BUT Pocket Announcer must be credited when doing so.

Things we already know:

1. Waveform images aren’t all there in sentence maker. These are still to be generated.

2. Prank caller section not yet included

3. Peter section not yet included

How to install

Once you have downloaded the .zip file unzip to your desktop. Inside will be 2 files consisting of a provisioning profile and a .app.

First, drag the provisioning profile into the applications section of iTunes and sync your iPhone or iPod. Once the sync has completed drag the .app over into the same section and sync again. The app will now install to your device and should run with no issues.

BETA 2.0 Updates

Hey testers. First off i would like to thank you ALL very much for your in depth testing of the BETA.

I listened to all of you and was ready to submit the final product today to Apple but a lot of you requested a function that after more deliberation felt i should include so here is a list of the extras you can find in BETA 2.

+ Prank Caller
Fixed intermittent crash bug when leaving sentence creator
+ Preview button for sentence creator sounds
+  Stop button for sentences
When you select individual words in the sentence they now use the values of the sliders so if you clipped a word it will now play as such
Reorganised categories to make for easier selection
Are you sure alert system is now in place to avoid accidentally deleting sentences or closing the maker

Now for the biggy

you can now move words around in the sentences by simply dragging them to your required position. you can also move the cursor to a position you require to add a word to meaning full control of your sentence.

Overall, i believe the day we spent on the extra code will benefit the app much greater than being supplied in an update.

I AM submitting the app tomorrow afternoon so you have until then for any last minute small fixes.

All phrases are recorded by us exclusively for this application. Some of the phrases in this application are highly sarcastic so we urge you to only use them to people you know that can handle jokes.

Burp Speak allows you to select words and add them into sentences before pressing play to hear the sentence played back in REAL burps. Each word has been burped and recorded for this application.We have tried to include a wide range of words for the application to begin with but are well aware that updates will be needed as users request further words to be added. Please request your words here and we will add them ALL into next updates.

FYI: Every one of these words were burped by myself and colleague solely for this application! Yes, we were nearly sick.

BurpSpeak is a burp application that is VERY different from the others.

WHY? Because BurpSpeak is the first application to allow you to select your words to form sentences and have it spoken back using genuine burps.

Imagine how your partner will react when you tell her that you love her using burps!! Yep, Score.

Imagine burping your order at a restaurant or takeaway!

Imagine being able to reply to an annoying person using only burps and play them at their own game! With BurpSpeak this is a VERY simple task to pull off.

Select your words and form your sentence then simply press play to hear the entire sentence spoken back using 100% genuine burps.

Every single one of the words burped in our app is a 100% genuine burp from our team and especially created for this application.

We have burped over 280 words so far for BurpSpeak and want to burp many more so please use the review section to request more words and we will add every legible word into our dictionary that you require.

We really do want this app to be a success and will add every legible word requested in as regular updates as we can get accepted.

Each app sold may go towards a new can of coke to ensure maximum gas when burping our words.

Burp Speak require an iPhone or iPod Touch running 3.1 or later.

Bunny Bang is a fast paced, race against time where you have to solve the codes to defuse the bomb that our poor bunny is strapped too but what happens if you don’t save him?

Bunny Bang is a fast paced action game that sees you solve codes in order to save Bunny.

You have 60 seconds to solve the code and prevent the explosion.

When you have selected numbers our number watcher will inform you if you have any correct numbers or if any are in the correct positions.

It is then up to you to figure out the combination before time runs out and save the bunny from being made into stew.

If at any time you choose not to save bunny just press the detonate button and bunny goes bang.

With around 5-6 rejections under its belt and several of Apple’s hoops jumped through cleanly i am not holding my breath for a speedy release if it is released at all but i will keep you posted.

Update: Bunny bang is now available on the AppStore. Thank you Apple for taking the time to correctly review the game.

MagiCam v2.0 is available now on the AppStore at the Christmas price of £0.59. This update is free of charge to existing users and you will be prompted to update automatically.

Minimum Requirements: * iPod Touch or iPhone 3G, 3GS running 2.2.1 firmware or later.

With the great success of the launch of MagiCam we felt confident we could meet your requirements for an update and we tried to listen to all of your comments.

With all of your requests in mind we set out to create V2.0 of MagiCam and it has now been submitted to the AppStore for acceptance.

It usually takes around 2 weeks to go through the Apple review process so we will keep you posted on it right here.

Update: Apple rejected the update for the following reason: The title contains keywords. Crazy!!

The update has been resubmitted on 29.11.09 so expect a 2 week period from there unless Apple reject for another stupid reason.

Enough of that though! What does the update bring?

Not only did we listen to you and your ideas but we have expanded them in many ways and have added the following:-

1. Camera Roll Editing
   This was a big request from a lot of our users so it was a no brainer that we had to include it. This also opens the door to iPod Touch users too so double points! This means that you can now open a photograph from your camera roll or photo library and edit that. This results in some very nice photographs and adds to the realism for those spending extra time on a single photograph.
2. Multiple Props
   With the camera roll editing function comes a new opportunity to use multiple props on your photographs. You can now take a photo, add a prop and save it. Load the photo and add another prop and so on.
3. More Props
   We have now expanded our prop library to 51 props. That is 3 times the original amount of props included within MagiCam v1.0.
4. Easier Prop Selection
   We have now categorised our props in a picker for you to choose from making it much easier and quicker to get to the prop you need.
5. Prop Filters
   You are now able to open a filter box which allows you to colourize the props to make the perfect blend between photo and prop. Filter settings include:- Hue, Saturation, Brightness, Filter Alpha, Prop Alpha.
6. Flip Props
   We have also added the ability to flip the props to match your photograph perspective adding further realism.

We feel that this is not just an update but a major upgrade on MagiCam V1.0. We develop these applications in order to bring happiness to whoever uses them and we would love to hear your thoughts on MagiCam or any of our other apps in our comments section or as a review on the AppStore.

The V2.0 update is free to users who already purchased MagiCam and should be available within 2 weeks (Apples Review – Standard Time). For new users the price will be £0.59 ($0.99) for a limited period.

MagiCam V2.0 will work with iPhone and iPod Touch. iPod Touch will only be able to access the edit photo mode as they do not have a camera.

When you open the app up, an alien appears on top of whatever your camera is pointing at. Tap the circle on the bottom right to access a full list of the objects you can place.
