If you ensure "Sync Ringtones" is checked on iTunes and the ringtones section underneath has the items you want synced checked they should transfer over with a standard sync!

Yes i used the computer I always use, I am syncing again now and putting the music back on my phone. Still no sign of the ringtones though? They ate showing on my laptop in ringtones folder but in grey with a sync sign by them? Is it because I'm syncing wirelessly? Should I sync it with the USB instead?

If you made sure that you synced your device using the computer you usually sync from there should be no issues like this.

Do you usually sync your device to the computer you did the above steps with?

You may have removed things off your phone after pressing continue which you may also have to resync!

Never mind....

I was able to delete the original five from the library. I then re-synced the phone and only the two new files were left on the phone.

I then reinstalled the orginal five in the library on iTunes and re-synced again.

Everything now works fine.

I downloaded and installed two additional ringtones, per the instructions, and they work fine.

Any idea how to correct the problem with the initial five?

I recently purchased ToneVault and downloaded five ringtones to iTunes.

I made a mistake and moved them from my download folder directly to my iPhone 4S via iTunes. This auto-created a Ringtones folder in my phones folder display on iTunes.

Realizing my mistake, I copied the files again, this time to the iTunes library, turned on the sync ringtones feature, and synced them per your instructions.

The sync process appears to run correctly, but I cannot find any of the five available for selection on the phone itself.

Thanks in advance for any help.
